Summary

Security breaches feature in the media on almost a daily basis, with no apparent let up ahead. This has seen New Zealand directors rank cyber security as their number one business risk, and the investment in security in New Zealand has never been larger. Despite this however, New Zealand organisations are continuing to struggle to implement effective security. Philip Whitmore from KPMG will provide us a real-world perspective into the effectiveness of New Zealand organisations’ security, why we are struggling to manage the risks, and the key steps we can all take to improve security.

Presenter

Philip leads KPMG’s Cyber Security Services team in New Zealand, and has over 20 years experience in helping organisations in New Zealand and overseas manage their security related risks. He has very in-depth and practical IT security experience across a broad range of subject matters, with particular specialisms in penetration testing and red team testing, security risk management, security governance, security architecture and security assurance.
