Summary

For the past quarter of a century Tony Krzyzewski has been involved in helping organisations identify and reduce cybersecurity related risk. Today he continues his audit and advisory work and is actively involved in the development of cybersecurity related standards and controls as well as the creation of tools that organisations can use to manage cybersecurity risk . In this presentation Tony will be covering developments out of the Center for Internet Security, the Global Cyber Alliance, the International Standards Organisation and will give an overview of the SAM for Compliance system and its proven track record in helping organisations manage their cybersecurity improvement programme.

Presenter

With 42 years in the IT industry and focussed on cybersecurity for the past 25 years, Tony Krzyzewski is acknowledged as a pioneer across many sectors of the industry. Tony runs his own private cybersecurity practice as Tonyk.nz Ltd and is co-founder of SAM for Compliance Ltd which operates a cloud based service helping organisations self-assess, manage, report and improve their cybersecurity position. Tony is one of nine Ambassadors to the Global Cyber Alliance, an international not for profit organisation that develops and provides free tools with the aim of reducing the impact cybercrime across the globe. Tony is the New Zealand Convenor on International Standards Organisation JTC/SC 27 and, in this role, is responsible for coordinating New Zealand’s contribution to the ISO Cybersecurity, Information Security, Privacy and Cryptography standards. Tony is a named contributor to the development of the Center for Internet Security CIS Controls 7 and the recently published Cloud Companion Guide to the CIS Controls. Tony was made a Fellow of the Institute of IT Professionals in 2017 in recognition of four decades of contribution the IT industry.
