Summary
The world of malware development, deployment and attacks is ever changing in a cat and mouse style war. We will discuss the history of malware, the drivers behind it and why the dark side has historically always had the upper hand. We will then provide an introduction to Artificial Intelligence as it applies to cyber security, along with discussing trends, advantages and disadvantages of the technology in practice.
Presenter
Brad Pearpoint has 14 years’ experience in the New Zealand IT segment, historically in the development and implementation of private cloud infrastructure for legal, medical and financial organisations. Today he is the MD for Advantage, a 35 year old multiservice IT company providing Managed Security, SOC Services and Private Cloud amongst traditional IT services.
Brad is instrumental in developing Advantage’s security offerings, with a passion to help the SMB market reduce their risk profile via a combination of advice, training and unique products tailored to our New Zealand market.
